Abstract

883,658. Drying apparatus. MARTINI, P. A. Dec. 10, 1957 [Sept. 17, 1956], No. 28417/56. Class 34(2) [Also in Group XXI] Hay stacks &c. are dried and/or ventilated by passing air to or from them through a perforated tube r formed with a spiral thread s by which the insertion of the tube into the stacks is facilitated by screwing. The screwing is effected through a cross-piece q having a crank k and a grip sleeve sch on the tube. A hose c connects to a blower or suction unit g. A thermometer may be arranged within the tube and a thermostat may be provided to enable automatic functioning of the unit g.
