Abstract
1,018,512. Dry cleaning machine. WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION. March 13,1963 [March 14,1962], No. 9963/63. Heading D1A. Dry cleaning solvent is circulated from a reservoir 17 through a valve 26 to a cleaning drum 10, and then back to the reservoir via a conduit 18. Drying is achieved by pumping air through a conduit 33 containing a heater 20 into the drum 10 to evaporate the remaining solvent, and then pumping the air and solvent through a condenser 28. The condensate is returned from the condenser to the reservoir 17 via conduit 39, amd a switch 47 which terminates the drying step. The coils of the condenser are fed with solvent from the reservoir via a valve 44 and return conduit 45 to reservoir. The solvent in the reservoir is refrigerated by a unit 42.
