882,284. Closet seats. GREET, R. H., and FAIRER, H. R. May 1, 1958 [May 1, 1957], No. 13931/57. Class 26. A lavatory seat, pivotally supported at the rear edge 14 for upward movement, has side arms 11, 12 hinged at 19 to the sides of the seat 10 about axes in the fore-and-aft direction for downward - and - inward hinging movement to overlie the seat 10 and of widths such that when so moved they overlie and together form a substantially complete cover for the seat aperture. To limit outward movement of the arms 11, 12 when raised, there are extensions 11a, 12a, each abutting against a side face of the seat 10. The arms may be hinged to the top face of the seat 10 at positions inset from the side edges by the thickness of the arms.
