Abstract

878,826. Automatic circuit-breakers. I-T-E. CIRCUIT BREAKER CO. Feb. 6, 1958, No. 3962/58. Class 38 (5). In a circuit-interrupter, such as that of Specification 783,366, having current limiting fuses arranged in a removable housing, the removal of the housing 30 permits the upward movement of a spring- biased plunger 60 to cause a lever 66 to pivot on a member 67 and by engaging a projection 13 on a trip-bar 10 to trip the circuit interrupter if it has not already been tripped. Until the housing is replaced the lever 66 holds the tripbar 10 in such a position that resetting and reclosure of the interrupter is prevented.
