878,813. Valve frequency selective amplifying circuits. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. April 10, 1959 [April 10, 1958], No. 12220/59. Class 40(6) [Also in Group XL(a)] The damping thrown across the input terminals of a pentode-type valve due to negative feedback through the grid-to-cathode capacitance of the voltage developed across the inductance L k of the cathode lead is compensated by equal and opposite feedback from an auxiliary electrode H in the vicinity of the screen grid. The compensating feedback is derived from inductance L h in the lead to this electrode and the capacity between the electrode H and the grid, and may be varied by variation of the potential applied to the auxiliary electrode. A voltage-stabilizing series resistance Rh may be included in the circuit and the inductance L h may be included internally, within the valve.
