A high-voltage current transformer comprises an oil-filled porcelain insulator 6 through which pass leads from the secondary windings 4, 5, mounted above an oilfilled tank 1 through which passes the primary winding 2 to which it is electrically connected at 3. Such transformers may be suspended singly or in groups from a gantry 9 (Fig. 1, not shown), Fig. 2, or mounted on three insulating legs (Fig. 3, not shown).
