Abstract

878,286. Child's boat. GREGORY, T. J. July 14, 1960, No. 24626/60. Class 113. A child's boat comprises a collapsible framework with a pneumatic tube 25 extending horizontally about the upper part of the framework, the lower part being provided with a seat 20 so located that the centre of gravity of the seated child is not above the general horizontal plane of the tube. The framework comprises a keelson 10 supporting the seat 20, a bow post 11, a stern post 12, and ribs 17 each secured to the keelson at their lower ends and formed at their upper ends with saddles 23, 24 and 18 respectively, the tube, which may be a motor car tyre inner tube, being held in the saddles 18 by rubber bands 35 located around the ribs and engaged with studs 19 thereon.
