Abstract
870,058. Inflatable raft stowage. PERADIN RUBBER CO. Ltd. July 18, 1958 [July 18, 1957], No. 22802/57. Addition to 752,676. Class 115. A storage for an inflatable raft comprises a container in halves 2, 3 one of which (2) has legs 5 for securing to the deck of a ship and clamps 9 connected by a bar 12 which is raised to release the clamps to permit the other half (3) to be lifted or swung away from the half 2 so that the half 3, together with the raft, will fall into the sea. 14 are handles. The manually operable locking means may be replaced by electrically operated means, and a number of containers may be operated simultaneously. The half 3 is formed with a flanged lip 7 which co-operates with a trough or troughs 6 on the frame and/or a trough or troughs 8 on the half 2.
