Abstract

877,149. Clamps. ANTIFERENCE Ltd., and BEST, N. M. Jan. 12, 1960 [Jan. 22, 1959], No. 2469/59. Class 44. A bracket comprises a flat body portion, a pair of upstanding arms 13, 13 which are integral with the body portion at the respective ends thereof and which project therefrom in a common direction out of the plane of the body portion 11 and are formed to engage with the surface of a first rod or tube-like member 19, and two pairs of jaw members 14, 14 which extend out of the plane of the body portion in the opposite direction from the arms, the jaw members of each pair being integral with the body portion at one of the sides thereof and being spaced apart therealong and formed to engage between them a second rod or tube-like member 20 disposed transversely of the first member, the body portion being formed with an aperture 18 adapted to receive a bolt or like tightening means 21, 22 for securing the bracket to the one member 19, and the body portion being bendable along a line between the jaw members whereby, on the bracket being so secured, the jaw members of each pair are brought together to grip the second member 20. As shown, the bolt 21 is passed through a hole provided in the member 19.
