Abstract
888,642. Cycle handlebars. SELBY, B. E., [trading as BILL SELBY MOTOR CYCLES]. March 14, 1961 [March 28, 1960], No. 10805/60. Class 136(3). A motor cycle handlebar has a central tubular portion A of U shape clamped by its base 1 at 2 so that the direction of its limbs 3 can be controlled by rotating it about its base and an outwardly extending hand-grip B clamped at 5 to each limb to be rotatable about it or moveable up and down it. The limbs 3 may be parallel or divergent. The base 1 of the U may have subsidiary curves before it bends out to the limbs and may be continuous or split centrally into two parts. The grips B may be perpendicular to or make a small angle with the perpendicular to the limbs and mounted reversibly thereon. The central clamp 2 is as shown in Fig. 10.
