876,770. Vices. EKLUNDS MEKANISKA VERKSTAD A.B., E. N. May 16, 1960 [May 16, 1959], No. 17118/60. Class 61. In a machine tool vice having a body 29 provided with a fixed jaw 34 and a jaw 35 movable by a screw spindle 36, the body is rotatable relatively to a bottom plate 1 the vice being provided with a conical central part 4 fixed to the plate 1 and with a slotted clamping ring 10 co-operating with the central part 4 and rotatable with-the body, the portions of the clamping ring on each side of the slot 9 being capable of being pressed together around the part 4 by a crank 25 or the like on a clamping screw rotatable in the body. The clamping ring 10 on its underside is non- rotatably connected by pins 13 to a disc ring 12 which is attached to the body by screws 30 and pins 31. The two portions of the ring 10 positioned on either side of the slot 9 have no direct contact with the ring 12. The central part 4 has a peg 3 which engages in a bore 2 in the bottom plate 1. The disc 12 is rotatably carried on a shoulder 8 of the part 4.
