Abstract

1430762 Workpiece clamping S H SALTER 4 April 1973 [22 Jan 1972] 3135/72 Heading B3B A workpiece clamp for mounting in a T-slot of a work-table comprises two parts, e.g. an upper part 1 and a lower part 2, provided respectively with a recess 9 and a projecting portion 10 whereby the two parts can be brought into mutual engagement and rocked relative to one another, an adjusting screw 11 for rocking the upper part 1 so that a clamping face 13 grips the workpiece 15, and a clamping screw 6 for clamping the lower part 2 to a work-table. The upper part is dimensioned to be substantially entirely received in the T- slot with only a small portion projecting above the table surface to grip the workpiece. Two separate screws may be used to clamp the lower part in the T-slot.
