Abstract

875,729. Mixing appliances. ELECTROSTAR G.m.b.H. Aug. 1, 1959, No. 27069/59. Class 86. A domestic mixing machine comprises a mixing bowl 1 having a central column 2 through which passes a drive shaft 3 having mounted detachably thereon by means of the square 4 a skeleton-type carrier 5, 6, 7. A stationary sun-wheel 8 fits freely over the column 2 being prevented from rotation thereon by engagement of the flats 10, and meshes with the planet wheel 16 secured to a spindle 15 in the carrier, which is thus rotated about the column 2 while the whisk 18 rotates with the shaft 15. The carrier has a clip-on cap 20 detachable for cleaning purposes and is axially secured to the sun-wheel 8 by means of a plastic ring 11 which is attached to the carrier as by a bayonet catch 11', 12. When it is desired to unscrew the whisk 18 the gearing may be locked by a pin inserted in the holes 25, 26.
