581,414. Domestic washing-machines. BARTLE, E., ROBINSON, P. J., and WESTWELL, A. B. March 10, 1944, No. 4478. [Class 138 (ii)] [Also in Group II] A domestic food mixing appliance is adapted to be attached to an electrically driven washing machine which comprises a wringer driven by a vertical shaft, and is interchangeable with the wringer head, being constructed to fit on a base on the washing machine previously occupied by the wringer head. The mixing bowl A is formed with a central tubular pillar B in which is rotatably mounted a shaft D, adapted to be coupled to the wringer driving shaft, A head E fixed on the end of the shaft D contains a stationary sun wheel F and a planet wheel G, which meshes therewith, and which is mounted on a rotatable shaft H to which is detachably connected a beater J. A tubular base C is provided with a spigot which fits the base of the pillar B, and which contains a bearing for the shaft D. The upper bearings for the shaft D are carried in a tubular boss g on the wheel F constructed to fit tightly in the pillar B.
