Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:0875060/IV (b)/1> in which R1 represents a dimethylamino, diethylamino, piperidino or morpholino radical; and acid addition salts thereof; and the preparation thereof by reacting 4-chloro-a -methylbenzhydrol with a compound of the formula Hal.CH(CH3).CH2R1, wherein Hal represents a halogen atom, in the presence of sodamide; and, if desired, converting the products into their acid addition salts. The products have antihistaminic and anticholinergic activity.
