871,571. Photographic developers. KODAK Ltd. Nov. 7, 1958 [Aug. 16, 1957], No. 25858/57. Class 98(2) A concentrated photographic developer solution which may be diluted up to 100 times with water comprises p-aminophenol, a polyhydric phenol (such as hydroquinone), a 3-pyrazolidone and an alkali. The preferred 3-pyrazolidone is the 1-phenyl derivative, but 1-phenyl-4-methyl- or 1-phenyl-4; 4-dimethyl- 3-pyrazolidones may be used. The preferred alkali is potassium hydroxide.
