Class 59 Lumpy material e.g. coal, ores, rock or similar materials conveyed on an endless track conevyer 1 is preliminarily crushed by means of a pair of rotatable crushing rollers 3, 4 mounted above the conveyer. The crushing rollers are mounted in a shiftable supporting frame 2 which may be combined with the conveyer. The side walls of the conveyer are provided with extensions 10, 11 in front of and behind the crushing rollers. The crushing rollers are rotated at a speed of 5 to 7 times that of the track conveyer.
