Abstract

981,628. Roller conveyers. SCHLOEMANN A.G. Jan. 18, 1962 [Jan. 18, 1961], No. 1935/62 Heading B8A. A roller conveyer for rolled steel strips comprises pairs of rollers 3, 3a, each roller havings its own shaft inclined to the horizontal by an angle α. The rollers of each pair are coupled by bevel gears 6, 6a but a universal joint may be used in place of the gears. Drive for the rollers includes a motor 1, a gear unit 2a and belts 2b. Each individual roller may have a direct drive.
