Abstract

849,963. Coal crushers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. Sept. 19, 1958 [Oct. 3, 1957], No. 30099/58. Class 59 Ram head 21, carried by frame 11 mounted on endless conveyer framework 10, breaks up large coal lumps 28 so that they are able to pass through a tunnel formed in the frame 11. Twin ram heads 21 are provided as shown for either direction of conveyance, the ram heads being carried by housing 19 which is resiliently mounted at 20 and is guided at 18 and which houses a free piston engine to effect the reciprocating movement, air being supplied at 22.
