Abstract

1346628 Cooling beds MOELLER & NEUMANN GmbH 16 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970] 18549/71 Heading B3M [Also in Division B8] A cooling bed for conveying rod material includes movable grating bars 11a, 11b and stationary grating bars 21. The movable bars are actuated by pairs of eccentrics 32, 33 offset by 180 degrees to produce horizontal movement of the bars, and by eccentric 40 which, in cooperation with inclined surfaces 43, 47; 51, 55 and rollers 42, 46; 49, 54 mounted on horizontal rods 44, 52 causes vertical movement of the bars. All the eccentrics are mounted on a common drive shaft 30. Figs. 4-7 (not shown) indicate a sequence of positions of the eccentrics (32, 33, 40) and the corresponding positions of the bars (11a, 11b and 21).
