Abstract

869,949. Controllers. TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE. Sept. 30, 1959 [Oct. 28, 1958], No. 33235/59. Class 38 (3). A controller comprises two switch-drums 6, 7, and an operating handle 4 which is movable in directions at right angles. The shaft 8 of the drum 6 is hollow, and has a rod 11 passing through it for operating the drum 7 by means of a pin-and-slot coupling 12 which converts axial movement of the rod into rotary movement. When the handle 4 is moved in the vertical plane, a forked head 20 is pivoted so that a link 19 shifts the rod 11. Movement of the operating handle in the horizontal plane causes collar 25 and sleeve 26 to rotate about the head 20, whereby a rotatable lever 24 is moved by pin 28. This leads to rotation of the shaft 8 which is fixed to lever 10.
