851,298. Controllers; time switches. KEGEL, H. May 10, 1957 [June 22, 1956], No. 15014/57. Classes 38 (3) and 38 (5). An electric motor, which drives the fan of a hair drier, also drives a worm-wheel 15 through worm and worm-wheel reduction gearing and a flexible shaft, the wheel 15 being clutched to a control shaft 16 by a disc-spring 17 and coupling disc 18 which is secured to the shaft. The shaft 16 carries a trip cam 20 adapted to open a switch for disconnecting the motor and associated heater when the motor has performed a predetermined number of revolutions. The duration of motor operation is preset by angular adjustment of the disc 18 in relation to the worm-wheel 15. The coupling disc carries a pin 25 for actuating a signal bell or lamp when the motor is switched off.
