933,237. Testing materials. DEUTSCHE GASRUSSWERKE G.m.b.H. April 22, 1960 [April 22, 1959], No. 14250/60. Class 106 (2). A plastometer for testing the scorching behaviour and plasticity of plastically elastic materials in which a positive control of the testing and recording processes is effected by automatically operating switch means. A predetermined time after switch 1 is closed a time relay 3 operates a motor 5 of the plastometer and after a further predetermined time a relay 4 automatically switches on the motor 7 which operates a recording instrument. The motors are switched off either by means of a relay 17 after a predetermined time or after a predetermined value of the plasticity is reached, a delay relay 10 being provided so that the recording instrument returns to zero. Lights K and a warning signal 8 may be provided.
