In a garment suspender fitting of the kind comprising a skeleton frame 1 which is known as a loop and is to be suspended at its upper part from textile web, the frame receiving and mounting a tab 15 having a button 17 which can be inserted into an opening 4 defined by the loop and pushed down into a constricted lower part 5 of the opening to there wedgingly engage a part of the garment to be suspended and in which the frame has a waist at the part corresponding to the button receiving opening, the end of the button tab remote from the button having a rib or other thickening 16 which is inserted through and trapped behind a slot 13 provided therefor in the upper part of the loop above the opening, the loop is spanned at its upper part by a flat auxiliary and separate frame 8 which is provided with the tab trapping slot, has a curved lower edge defining the top of the button receiving opening in the loop and has a lug 10 at each end of the lower portion of the frame below the slot, these lugs being turned around the sides of the limbs of the loops at the waist of the latter to mount the auxiliary frame in position on the loop and simultaneously stiffen the latter. As shown the frame 8 has a second pair of lugs 11 at its upper portion. The insertion of the thickening 16 is facilitated by a notch or notches 14 in the slot 13. The thickening 16 after insertion through the slot 13 lies within a pocket defined by a turned over tongue 12 of the frame 8 and the side limbs 7 of the loop. In a modification, in addition to the loop 1, a second loop is provided and the two loops are connected together by the auxiliary frame so that they can hinge relative to each other; the auxiliary frame has a slot 13 as in the previous embodiment for receiving the thickening on the button tab.
