866,026. Travelling ship-board cranes. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Aug. 17, 1969 [Aug. 19, 1958], No. 27991/59. Class 78 (4). [Also in Group XXIV] A bogie 2 of a travelling crane 1 is driven along a track 3 on the deck of a ship by a pinion 6 engaging a rack 10 on the coaming of a hatchway. The pinion 6 is driven by a motor 5 through a shaft 4 and a pinion 8 and is held in engagement with the rack by a spring 14 which acts on a bracket 7 supporting the pinion. A supporting wheel 12 coaxial with the pinion 6 runs on a guide rail 11. An adjustable check bolt prevents the pinion 6 from becoming completely disengaged from the rack 10.
