Abstract

1,083,448. Overhead travelling cranes. DEMAG-ZUG G.m.b.H. May 11, 1966 [May 14, 1965], No. 20847/66. Heading B8B. A trolley 2a, 2b, which supports a hoist 6 from the bottom flange 1a of a girder 1 is driven along the girder by a friction wheel 7 resiliently urged against the underside of the bottom flange by a spring 15. Horizontally disposed guide pulleys 4 are provided. A driving motor (8), Fig. 2 (not shown), and transmission gearing (9) are disposed coaxially with and on opposite sides of the friction wheel. Control elements and a counterweight are housed in a box (16).
