Abstract
864,828. Thermal switches. SPECIALPOPPER A.B. June 30, 1959 [June 30, 1958], No. 22373/59. Class 38 (5). An electric energyregulator has a bimetal 21 carried on a spring mounting 16 for adjustment by a cam 20. The adjustment transmitting member 17 may be an ambient temperature compensating bimetal. A snap-action contact 13 co-operates with a contact 22 on the bimetal which carries, and is heated by, the load current. The snap-spring 12 has a tongue 14 arranged in known manner such that a downward force on the contact 13 (from the straightening action of the heated bimetal) pushes it over its mid-position from which it snaps open. It is reset by a hook 23 engaging the contact and pulling it over dead-centre as the bimetal cools.
