Abstract

864,673. Supporting conductors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Oct. 27, 1958 [Oct. 29, 1957], No. 33760/57. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A conductor clamp comprises at least two cooperating members 2 or 3, at least one of which has a conductor engaging face of scalloped or serrated form serving to locate the conductors 1 in spaced relationship, and the members being spaced apart by the conductors. Bushes 9 may be provided to prevent deformation of the members 2 or 3 when the clamping bolts 6, which may be of nylon, are tightened, the scalloped clamping members preferably being channelled transverse to the conductor axis to locate the bushes. For small conductors one of the clamping members 3 may have a flat face; several sizes of conductor may be accommodated by a combination of clamping members which are preferably of insulating material.
