863,933. Supporting screens in lighting settings. CAMPBELL, H. G., and BENJAMIN ELECTRIC Ltd. Nov. 20, 1959 [Sept. 22, 1958], No. 30194/58. Class 75(4). [Also in Group XXV] To support a screen, e.g. a translucent plate for dust exclusion or light diffusion or a system of louvres in an opening in a lighting fitting, a clip, the major part of which is on the inner side of the screen and extends across the opening, is secured by its ends to the edges of the opening. A plurality of such clips, e.g. three may be used. In the form shown, a "egg box" diffuser 12 is supported in the mouth of a trough reflector 10 by clips of the form shown at 14 consisting of a bowed central portion 14a extending across the screen and legs 14b passing through the screen and terminating in hooks 14c engaging a flange 15 around the edge of the reflector opening. Where the clips are used to secure a dust excluding screen, the holes through which the legs of the clip pass may be provided with bushes of felt.
