[Also in Division E2] A bowl or diffuser 13 is detachably connected to a ceiling batten 11 by means of catches each of which comprises a plate 27 pivoted at 28 to , a bracket 25 and biased by a spring 26 towards either of two alternative positions in one of which, as shown, the diffuser can be removed from the batten and in the other of which the jaw 30a of the plate engages under a shoulder 19 of the diffuser and urges a flange 20 on the shoulder into abutment with a resilient gasket 17 on the batten. The diffuser can be secured or released merely by moving it towards or away from the batten.
