Abstract

693,877. Lighting fittings.. LUMALAMPEN AKTIEBOLAG. Sept. 18, 1951 [Sept. 18, 1950], No. 21902/51. Class 75 (iv) A tubular-lamp fitting 2 has a curved light-transmitting front plate 4 which is supported at its ends on a plurality of tongues 5 which project inwardly of the fitting from end members 3 and are arranged so that rotation of the front plate 4 along its path of curvature in either direction beyond one or more of the tongues 5 allows the plate to be brought back under said one or more tongues 5 and thereby disengaged from the fitting. As shown the end members 3 have a lower edge 6 curved to conform with the curvature of the plate 4, and the tongues 5 initially project downwardly beyond the edge 6 and then inwardly to form support pieces 9. The fitting may be ceiling or pendant and the angle enclosed by the curved plate 4 is less than 180 degrees.
