736,051. Lamp shades. PAGE, A. May 19, 1954 [Way 19, 1953], No. 14027/53. Class 75 (2). A cylindrical or tubular lamp shade comprises one or more flexible panels 1 deformable into the required shape and having holes 2, 3 at the top thereof, a supporting frame 5 constituted by a single member for mounting on a lamp-holder and formed with hooks 8, 10 engaging in the holes 2, 3, the panel adjacent edges below the frame 5 being interconnected by individual fasteners, e.g. wire staples 4. As shown, the shade is made from two panels of identical shape with adjacent edge portions face-to-face. The frame 5 is made up from a number of interconnecting parts forming a central opening 6 with diametrically opposite radial arms 7 formed with two oppositely sideways directed hooks 8 for engagement with holes 2 disposed in the upper corners of the panels and with two oppositely directed arms 9 having hooks 10 to engage with the holes 3 at the centre of the upper edge portion of the panels. The arms 9 also have portions 11 to prevent the panels sliding along the arms. The hooks 10 may be dispensed with. The fasteners 4 may be detachable fasteners.
