Abstract

1,057,937. Advertising device. A. BOCKMANN. April 6, 1964 [April 18, 1963], No. 14169/64. Heading G5C. A display member 16 of resilient polystyrene sheet is curved back on itself and secured by holding lugs 20 at its vertical edges to a rigid rectangular support member 10. The member 16 may be curved off at the corners (Fig. 1, 4, not shown), and may have holes co-operating with lugs 20, which are riveted to support 10 (Figs. 6, 7, not shown). Member 16 may in flat form be 50-65% wider than the distance between lugs 20. Member 16 may bear text and illustrations in the form of a coloured transparency for rear illumination by a lamp 12 clipped to support 10 (Fig. 2, not shown), support 10 behind the lamp being covered with reflecting foil. Support 10 may have a hole 11 for suspension, and may be of small height compared with member 16. Fig. 5 (not shown) illustrates a support having a central aperture, containing a lamp, and two display members on opposite sides. The spaces above and below the lamp may be closed or left open as shown.
