Abstract

614,675. Signs. ACME SHOWCARD & SIGN CO., Ltd., and WISBEY, S. July 19, 1946, No. 21662. [Class 3(ii)] In a sign of the kind in which letters &c. 15 formed of transparent or translucent material are situated within correspondingly shaped apertures in a panel 10, the panel is formed of coloured translucent material and has its ends bent backwardly and rearwardly, (as at 11, 12). The panel 10 is backed by a sheet of uncoloured material 13 and, if desired, by a second sheet (not shown) coloured to contrast with the panel 10. The letters may project from the surface of the panel or may be flush with it; they may be colourless or coloured. A lamp box 16 may be bolted to the ends of the panel which are illuminated by light passing from the lamp through opening 20 in the box. Specification 349,617 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
