Abstract

An electrode spacing or support member comprises two insulating sheet-like portions having slots therein, and assembled together in face-to-face relationship so that the slots cross at right-angles, thus jointly defining an aperture for an electrode or electrode support. In Fig. 2b, one sheet has a single slot 16, the other sheet having three slots 18 at rightangles to slot 16, thus together defining three apertures suitable for locating a cathode and two grid support wires. Fig. 5 shows the arrangement adapted for the electrode structure of a pentode.
