860,465. Valves. GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE A.G. Feb. 20, 1957 [Feb. 20, 1956], No. 5804/57. Class 135. A valve closure member 2 having a stem 1 extensible, e.g. by temperature or by pressure acting on the member, for actuating the valve, and anchored at its end opposite its head to the valve housing, has the seating rim 5 of the valve head formed as an annular body generated by rotation of a curve and making line contact within a conical seating bore 3. The valve relieves pressure in an hydraulic strut and as shown the curve is a semi-circle.
