Abstract
859,369. Nuclear reactors. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Feb. 14, 1958 [Feb. 21. 1957], No. 5953/57. Class 39(4). In a graphite moderated gas cooled reactor enclosed in a spherical pressure vessel 11, the graphite moderator 10, is given a stepped profile in order to follow the spherical inner surface of the vessel. The moderator is supported on grid 12 mounted on foundations 13 and the vertical fuel channels 15, 16, 17 carry the fuel elements 18.
