Abstract

858,215. Cartons. UNIPAK CARTONS Ltd. March 4, 1958 [Jan. 22, 1958], No. 6979/58. Class 18. A carton is provided internally with a partition element 1, 7, 12 formed from the blank shown in Fig. 1. The shaded portions represent coatings of pressure sensitive adhesive ; the carton and partition element may be assembled in knock-down form, the action of opening the carton serving to pull transverse partition panels 7 at right angles to the side walls 21, 22 and longitudinal partition panels 1, 2, thus forming compartments e.g. for bottles. Each transverse partition consists of upper and lower panels 7 in the same vertical plane. An extensible handle may be fitted having a vertical leg accommodated between the longitudinal partitions 1, 2. Modifications may be made to the shape of the panels 7 and more than two rows thereof may be formed from one blank. Specfication 858,214 is referred to.
