Abstract

857,054. Pneumatic separating. MIAG VERTRIEBSGESELLSCHAFT. Feb. 26, 1959 [Feb. 27, 1958], No. 6661/59. Addition to 713,349. Class 117 The compressed air for conveying the granular material to the separating apparatus of the parent Specification is separated from that material at 17 upstream from the closed space 2 within the outer chamber 1, and is mixed with atmospheric air 27 drawn by a suction fan into the apparatus through a pipe 25 concentric with the material and air pipe line 4. A blower 22 carries granular material fed from a hopper 23 through the line 4, and the material passes into the space 2 and is discharged at 18 therefrom to be acted upon by the mixed air stream. The first fraction of the material passes to the outlet 10, the second fraction flows to the outlet 13, and the air together with the third fraction is drawn by a fan 29 into a separator 28 from which the third fraction is delivered, and the exhaust air flows from a pipe 30.
