855,994. Paper containing synthetic resins; laminates; proofing against water, grease &c. ROHM & HAAS CO. Dec. 3, 1957 [Dec. 11, 1956], No. 37615/57. Addition to 813,548. Classes 96 and 140. The invention of the parent Specification is modified in that the wet strength may be at least 0.04 1b. per inch per 1b. of basis weight, and the polymer may comprise 60 to 700% of the weight of the fibre. An example mentions a 5 1b. basis weight tissue held for 15 seconds in a 1% dispersion of t-octyl phenoxypolyethoxyethanol having 10 oxyethylene units, and 49% of a copolymer of 47% ethyl acrylate, 47% of acrylonitrile and 5% methacrylic acid.
