Abstract
506,929. Fibrous compositions. NAAM. LOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP W. A. SCHOLTEN'S AARDAPPELMEELFABRIEKEN. Dec. 8, 1937, No. 33982. Convention date, Dec. 30, 1936. [Class 70] [Also in Groups IV and XXI] Plastic compositions comprise a liquid or liquefied constituent and, as absorbent for the liquid constituent, a fibrous material obtained by washing potatoes until the remaining fibres contain 15 per cent or less of starch, and then drying and comminuting the fibres. In the production of linoelum the powdered fibrous material may be used as an absorbent filler - instead of cork meal. The degree of comminution and sieving may be varied to obtain material of various apparent densities.
