Abstract
404,386. Treatment of fibrous cellulose. PAPETERIES NAVARRE SOC. ANON., 52, Avenue Marechal Foch, Lyons, France. Aug. 2, 1932, No. 21676. Convention date, April 22. [Class 96.] To fibrous cellulose, before or in the course of its manufacture into sheet form but before its use for making sized paper or board is added a sizing material comprising wax and insoluble in water. In an example 3-5 per cent of paraffin wax is added to cellulose, as an emulsion or solution, or is melted and applied by atomization or by rollers. Cellulose thus treated may be mixed with ordinary cellulose.
