Abstract
480,098. Imitation fires. FERRANTI, Ltd., and FIRTH, J. P. June 16, 1936, No. 16710. [Class 126] Imitation fuel comprises a shell made partly or wholly of translucent material part or all of the surface of which has applied to it separate irregular pieces of a soft translucent substance having an irregular texture, to simulate burning fuel, ashes, cinders, &c. The shell may be made as described in Specification 465,528, or from cellulosic sheet material, textile material, or wire gauze. Lumps, strips, or pieces of cellulose wadding or thin blotting or other unsized paper are attached by adhesive to the material of the shell, before or after shaping of the latter. 'Protective lacquer and finally colouring are applied. Specification 413,369 also is referred to.
