[Class 50] [Also in Groups III, VI, and XXI] A safety igniting mass comprises semipyrophoric ferrous oxide, potassium chlorate and collodion and may be applied to sticks of wood, cigars or cigarettes. Semi-pyrophoric is defined as that property of a substance of gniting in air only after being raised to an elevated temperature in general 50 to 300‹ C. and below its normal igniting temperature.
