Abstract

A medicinal smoking-mixture or an inhalant consists of a material impregnated with oxides or peroxides soluble in alcohol i.e. nitrous oxide, hydrogen peroxide, barium peroxide or sodium peroxide which when hot produce vapours containing oxygen to counteract the effects of sedative smoking mixtures or bronchial smoking mixtures containing stramonium. Shredded peat may be impregnated with an alcoholic solution of hydrogen peroxide and nitrous oxide. The mixture may be made up in the form of cigars or cigarettes or smoked in a tobacco pipe. Specification 295,822, [Class 81 (i)], is referred to.
