Abstract

871,102. Cigarettes. BRITISH-AMERICAN TOBACCO CO. Ltd. March 18, 1960, No. 9605/60. Class 130. A cigarette filter tip 1 is formed of tobacco cut finer than the main tobacco portion 2, i.e. to an average width for the shreds between <SP>1</SP>/ 100 inch and 1/ 500 inch. The filter plug, in a wrapper 3, may be of the same diameter as the main body portion 4 and connected thereto by a tip 5 or may be incorporated within the cigarette wrapper 4. The tobacco shreds in the main portion 2 are cut to an average width of 1/30 inch to 1/ 70 inch and the shreds in the filter plug 1 preferably have an average width of 1/ 200 inch.
