854,806. Textile twisting &c. apparatus. ROCHEGUDE, L. V. M., and LADREYT, P. March 26, 1959 [April 4, 1958], No. 10500/59. Classes 120(2) and 120 (3). In twisting&c. apparatus of the head comprising a reciprocating thread-distributing bar 9 carrying the thread-distributing guides (e.g. 7) of all the winding-units, at each winding-position a rocker arm 17 carrying a thread-feeler 6 (which operates a stop-motion or gives an indication of threadbreakage) maintained against an abutment by the pull of the yarn is pivoted on an arm 16 adjustably secured on the bar 9. The yarns passing over the feelers 6 are drawn from an arcuatelyarranged series of rapidly-rotating spindles 3 via guides 5 and are laid by the guides 7 on packages 2 driven by a roller 3. Each rocker-arm 17 is shaped as shown, the part 17b forming a weight partly offsetting the weight of the feeler 6. Between the parts 17, 17b the arm is wound helically around an inturned end of an arm 16 clamped in the head of a bolt 11 so as to allow the position of the arm to be adjusted. The bolt 11 also secures a strap 10 by which the arm 8, on which the guide 7 is mounted is secured to the bar 9 which serves as an abutment for the arm. The guide 6 is formed as in Fig. 5 with the groove flared at each end. When the yarn breaks, the guide falls against an abutment, an indicator 20 being provided.
