Class 120(2) [Also in Group XXV] In a vertical cabling machine having take-up and let-off flyers 42, 6, which rotate about vertical axes, the let-off yarns passing through a die 31 under the pull of haul-pulleys 34, 35, the axes of which rotate around the axis of the flyer 42, the supports for the let-off bobbins 3 are so located that the lower edges of the bobbins 3 lie above the lower edges of the take-up bobbin 4 and beneath the haulpulleys 34, 35. As shown, the let-off bobbins 3 are arranged on either side of a take-up bobbin 4. Each bobbin 3 has a letoff flyer 6 which rotates with a spindle 9. Yarn from a bobbin 3 passes through a guide-eye 16 in the spindle 9, being deflected through substantially constant angles A and B, whatever the position of the flyer 6. It then passes over a curved conductor 25 which is pivoted to the frame,. spring-loaded, and held down by the tension in the yarn against a small plunger stop switch 27 'which constitutes themachine stop mechanism. The swival yarns then pass through a tubular die 31, being pulled by haul pulley 34, 35 which rotate about their own axes and about the axis of driving pulley 38. A take-up flyer 42 winds the finished twine on to the bobbin 4. Four yarns may be furnished by four bobbins 3, passing over four conductors 25 to one die 31.
