Abstract

854,690. Axial-flow fans. SERCK RADIATORS Ltd. April 3, 1959 [April 10, 1958], No. 11366/58. Class 110 (1). Fan blade roots f are of dovetail cross-section and are clamped, preferably with the interposition of annular noisereducing washers i of rubber or the like, between the oppositely inclined faces of a hub flange d and a clamping ring e. The clamping bolts h may be inserted between adjacent blade roots but preferably, as shown, pass through a hole in each root. The holes are large enough to allow the roots to move radially into their final positions as the bolts h are tightened up. Bushes k of rubber or the like may be provided around the bolts h.
