Abstract

853,455. Valves. HEATON & CO. (VALVES) Ltd., A. Dec. 29, 1958 [Nov. 19, 1957], No. 35941/57. Class 135. A disc-like lift valve member 18 guided by annularly spaced fingers 20 engaging in a port in the valve body 10 is actuated by a rotatable spindle 22 extending diametrically through the port and a link 34 connected between the valve member and an eccentric pin secured to the spindle. The spindle is rotated by means of a lever 38 which has a stud-like projection 44 engageable with one or other of the recesses 48, 50, to hold the valve in the fully open or fully closed position.
